Los negocios ágiles requieren servicios de gestión sostenibles (inglés)

Can we continue our operations as they have been running so far or do we need changes? When and where do we need extra resources? How does it correlate with the company’s business goals? The more complex and heterogeneous an organization is, the more urgent is the need for answers.

Comprehensive service monitoring, analysis and management requires real-time business-focused indicators on numerous and often decentralized corporate assets. This necessity, in its turn, is related to three basic problems. First — if different infrastructure assets are monitored with different applications it is difficult, if possible at all, to achieve data transparency and uniformity. Separate and diverse technical indicators need to be “concentrated” and “translated” into business values. Second — to maintain strong IT-business alignment there is a need for analysis rather at macro- and global organization levels, than at separate departments’ plane, yet, organizational boundaries prevent from gathering and analyzing original business data in a centralized manner. Third — headlong modifications of infrastructure and technology, changes in business processes make it difficult to sustain analysis integrity for the entire organization, and pose a question on the full coverage of consumed or rendered services and adequate reflection of their impact on business processes.

Thus, the centralized policies of resource allocation, definition of services’ efficiency, clear presentation of dependencies between business departments and IT are impossible without a solution, universal in terms of infrastructure coverage, and sustainable in terms of local and global changes, including ones both on IT side and on business side.

Hypersoft has implemented three technology solutions to face these demands — a universal data collection agent instead of separate applications for each data source; distributed architecture allowing to collect and consolidate business data al over the organization; and optimized logic adaptable to changes in business processes. No matter what infrastructure modifications, new business processes or customer-specific projects are introduced, there is no need to change service management application: the appropriate analysis logic is assigned for new objects and processes — and regular and transparent IT service management is on.
