Hypersoft lanza una nueva versión de su software universal de gestión de servicios TI, OmniContext 2.0 (inglés)

In spite of the fact that IT value is questioned oftener and oftener and CIOs have it hard to provide evidence that IT department makes a better alternative compared to total outsourcing,— there is hardly any company that has put into operation business-oriented management of IT services in full. Common attempts to implement partial or decentralized monitoring, that, in addition, lack attention to constantly introduced technical and business innovations, result in incomplete, inexact, or not up-to-date information on IT services, which, in its turn, provokes distortions in optimal budget allocation and often leads to a burden of inefficient projects. Hypersoft has resolved these major obstacles to sustainable service management with OmniContext technology.

The first need to address was centralization of service management and delivery of comparable business-critical indicators for the entire infrastructure. If different assets are monitored with different applications it would be difficult, if possible at all, to achieve data transparency and uniformity. Separate and diverse technical indicators need to be “concentrated” and, besides, “translated” into business values so that not only CIO and upper management but also an IT specialist would be conscious of business significance of system performance, and would coordinate appropriately the work of personnel. To collect and consolidate corporate knowledge for custom reporting, Hypersoft has developed a universal multiplatform agent capable of gathering data in heterogeneous environments, even over firewalls and organizational boundaries. The results are transparency of infrastructure state, predictable performance, and optimal resource allocation.

Another challenge was to keep up with headlong modifications of infrastructure and technology and changes in business processes. They occur daily and make it difficult to sustain analysis integrity for the entire organization, and pose a question on the full coverage of consumed or rendered services and adequate reflection of their impact on business processes.

To provide the enterprises with consistency in service management, Hypersoft has implemented optimized analysis logic, adaptable to changes both on technical and on business side. No matter what infrastructure modifications, new business processes or customer-specific projects are introduced, there is no need to change service management application: the appropriate analysis logic is assigned for new objects and processes — and regular and transparent IT service management is on.
