Nuevas llaves CryptoIdentity FIPS e ITSEC de Eutron (inglés)

It's been a while now Eutron has been offering three models of CryptoIdentity in its portfolio, them being differentiated by chip onboard, mask and relative features. With government agencies enrolling more and more digital signature around the world and enforcing a wide range of specifications Eutron has moved forward into a partnership with Giesecke & Devrient for the development of new units, respectively FIPS and ITSEC evaluated.

The CryptoIdentity FIPS and the new CryptoIdentity ITSEC will allow Eutron to reach increasing market shares on a worldwide basis.

    Basically such units will feature:

    CryptoIdentity FIPS:

    • On board memory: 32KB
    • Encryption: 1024 bit RSA
    • Cryptographic chip: Philips Semiconductors P8WE5032
    • Mask: G&D StarCOS SPK 2.4
    • Security: FIPS 140-2 level 2 certification on mask
    • Operating System: Linux support also available

    CryptoIdentity ITSEC:

    • On board memory: 32KB
    • Encryption: 1024 bit RSA
    • Cryptographic chip: Philips Semiconductors P8WE5032
    • Mask: G&D StarCOS SPK 2.3
    • Security: ITSEC E4 High certification
    • Operating System: Linux support also available

As far as the validation is concerned, actually it's G&D to have applied for it (http://csrc.nist.gov/cryptval/140-1/1401vend.htm).

However the tokens can be considered implicitly certified themselves (the new ITSEC with the same certification level as the previous one), the mask of the smart card and the card operating system as well as the onboard cryptographic chip being certified.
