modusCloud Release Notes for October 2018

The following improvements and bug fixes have been rolled out to modusCloud this month. No action is required by our partners to receive this update.

Integrations     • ConnectWise Manage: Made Generally Available the new integration for ConnectWise Manage, syncing active user counts and costs directly into the ConnectWise Manage agreements for customers. Contact us to learn more, access the integration page here.     • Spam Reporter for Outlook: Made Generally Available the new Outlook Plugin allowing end users to directly report as spam from Outlook as well as a direct link to their quarantine. A whitelabel version is also available for all whitelabel partners. Contact us to gain access.

Improvements     • User Interface: Improved search performance and table load times.     • SMTP Authentication: Easily create SMTP AUTH credentials in the modusCloud Domains page. SMTP AUTH prevents an SMTP server from being misused as an open mail relay and distributes spam within a network.     • Attachment Defense: Added support to scan .xz archive file types and multiple features to improve the stability of the solution.     • Advanced Log Search: All options are now checked by default when choosing the Advanced Search feature in the logs for a specific user's account. Previously, these boxes were unchecked by default.     • Instant Replay: Users can now resend messages an unlimited number of times using Instant Replay. This feature will now work with Office 365 and Exchange without server-side settings changes.     • New SmartIDs and Dictionaries: Added 10 SmartIDs and 2 Dictionaries to our regcomp options, including GDPR Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Terms. Contact us to request the full list.     • AD Sandboxing: Implemented changes to improve overall stability of the feature.

API Changes     • Implemented the billing resource for API GET requests on API V1. Previously, this was only available on API V0.     • Improved an API V1 issue affecting the API GET all users request for an account that has no users.     • Fixed an issue preventing requests to return data when using API V1 and whitelabel URLs

Bug Fixes     • Fixed Azure Sync issues causing users marked "Exempt from sync" from continuing to sync     • Fixed Azure Sync issues causing some Functional accounts and Security Groups to be erroneously exempted from syncing.     • Fixed an issue causing users to receive a blank Azure Sync report each hour.     • Fixed an issue preventing the virus name from appearing in the message detail.     • Reintroduced "Cleared (but Queued for delivery)" status in log filters for deferred mail.     • Fixed an issue preventing users from reporting FNs when the message subject contained commas.     • Fixed an issue in the Safe Sender List causing senders with the underscore symbol to be recorded improperly.     • Fixed an issue preventing domains with a numerical first character from being added to the URL Defense white list.     • Fixed bugs causing certain URLs to be rewritten improperly in URL Defense and for emails with >10k lines of code to be partially defended by URL Defense.     • Fixed an issue preventing the Threat Summary Report from displaying the count of clicks blocked by URL Defense.     • Fixed an issue causing differences in the metrics between the graph and table in the Threat Summary Report.
